Handpan Mantra Album

This album has been weaving through our life, service and work for the last 3 years as we've traveled and shared the healing power of devotional singing in circle and ceremony.

We both aligned with the force of Bhakti yoga (yoga of the heart) through our own spiritual journeys. Jess through her 10 year exploration of the yogic path as a yogini and yoga teacher. Joe through his lifelong devotion to music, leading him to discover the handpan and then mantra through Krishna and the Hare Krishna faith. We both began to see miracles in our individual lives and felt new levels of harmony, joy, love and peace.

We believe our meeting was one such miracle. We immediately started sharing mantras accompanied by drumming together with our close community in Sri Lanka. The alchemy was undeniable. Bringing music, dance, magic and the space for all to offer our unique expression to the creator felt like such a rich gift. We are so thankful to our Indian ancestors and the people who have continued the ancient practices of Bhakti, kirtan and chanting the sacred names.

Each mantra aligns us to a specific frequency depicted by the great deities of the Hindu faith. These deities are to remind us of the many aspects of ourselves and call on their highest, most divine expression within us. The science of mantra is breath taking. the individual sound vibrations of each letter in the Sanskrit language resonates with a specific part of our energy body. Chanting these sounds changes the physiology of the energy body which informs the physical body, These mantras have the power to shape our physical, mental and emotional realities. They are a gift to us, please receive each of these songs as a gift and our prayer for planetary healing.

When we sing together as one voice, we remember we are one, our hearts begin to beat in time and we disappear into the harmony of expression. Each of us is unique, each of us a precious flower offering its essence to life and to god. We are so in love with this practice of circling round and sharing song as a prayer as an offering to heal our own wounds of expression, to heal our notions of separation and scarcity, to find our connection to ourselves, each other and creator spirit.
